Yacht Fittings

The Backstory: 

We were commissioned by a very high end, small volume, boat builder to produce some very high quality fixtures and fittings to his own design.

This client had struggled to find a manufacturer who would treat his small run of high quality parts seriously.

These parts needed to be manufactured to the highest possible finish and produced without flaw. The boat builder, by his own admission, is a perfectionist.

The client went so far as to provide detailed sketches and also the base material he wished to use.

We refined his sketches and produced proper engineering drawings and 3D models for his approval.

Initially our pricing was higher than he expected to pay, but once he saw our detailed  approach to realising his design he understood the value of our work and went ahead.

During manufacture we found a flaw in the material the customer provided and sourced new material to his exact specification, which enabled us to move forward without delay, this added to the customer’s smile factor.

The finished parts exceeded his expectations by a significant margin and he was moved to write a note of appreciation to us as a Company.

Completed ahead of time, on budget and with a higher quality than the customer anticipated, these small parts speak to how seriously we take everything we do.
